FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
TENTH YEAR IN BUSINESS; AUDIOSCIENCE CELEBRATES WITH SEVEN NEW PRODUCTS
Newcastle, DE (September-19, 2006) - Celebrating its 10th
year in business, AudioScience is commemorating the occasion by
debuting seven new products at the 2006 NAB Radio Show in
Dallas, TX.
The popular ASI6000 series is being extended with the powerful new ASI6500
line of PCI sound cards. Taking a cue from the ASI6600 PCI
Express sound cards introduced earlier this year, the ASI6500
series is smaller, faster, cooler and has more functionality
that the equivalent ASI6000 card. These products are also
lead-free and compliant to the EU RoHS mandate.
“During the past ten years, we have expanded our product line to meet our
customer’s needs,” said Richard Gross, President and co-founder
of AudioScience. “With our new ASI6500 line, we are saying
“Thank you” to our customers by providing a card that has
greater functionality without the greater price point.”
The 5 new models from the ASI6500 line are the ASI6544, ASI6522, and
ASI6514 with both balanced analog and AES/EBU I/O, and the
analog-only ASI6540 and ASI6520.
Next, AudioScience rounds out the ASI5000 series of cost effective
linear PCM sound cards with the new ASI5020; an analog only PCI
card with 2 stereo inputs and outputs.
The seventh product, new in the software department, is
AudioScience’s ASIO driver. Licensed from Steinberg Media
Technologies, the ASIO driver allows AudioScience sound cards to
provide low-latency multichannel recording and playback when
used with such applications as Adobe’s Audition 2.0, Steinberg’s
Cubase and Cakewalk’s Sonar. The ASIO driver will be integrated
into both the WAVE and WDM drivers operating under Windows 2000
or XP.
