AUDIOSCIENCE ANNOUNCES WINDOWS 7 BETA DRIVER NEWCASTLE, DE (June 30, 2009) – AudioScience, Inc., a leader of professional peripherals for the broadcast and entertainment industries, announces the availability of their Windows 7 beta driver. The release, available for both Windows 7 32-bit and 64-bit operating systems, allows early adopters to experiment with AudioScience products using the Windows 7 Release Candidate available from Microsoft. "Our customers are very inquisitive," said Richard Gross, president of AudioScience. "They're always checking out new things that come along and beta testing products before they're released.”
The 32-bit version of the Windows 7 driver includes support for applications utilizing
DirectSound, DirectShow, ASIO, Wave, and Mixer interfaces as well as the AudioScience
ASX and HPI interfaces. The 32-bit version of the Windows 7 driver will behave the same
as the AudioScience 32-bit XP driver. The 64-bit driver supports 32-bit and 64-bit
applications written for DirectSound, DirectShow, ASX, and HPI only at this stage.
Hardware support includes all AudioScience adapters currently in production.
