VERI-CORE USING AUDIOSCIENCE'S COBRANET® PCI CARD IN COURTROOM LOGGERS
NEWCASTLE, DE (January 27, 2009) –
AudioScience, Inc., a leader of professional audio
peripherals in the installed sound industries, is pleased to
announce that Veri-Core LLC has approved the use of the ASI6416
CobraNet soundcard in Veri-Core’s Digital Recording Suite;
providing the core audio interface for the Ultra-Scribe product
line.
Florida's Judicial Circuit chose CobraNet technology to provide audio connections
between remote courthouses. The challenge? No existing recording product that would
work in-line with CobraNet audio streams. Veri-Core quickly stepped up to provide
that service with the ASI6416 and Ultra-Scribe. Ultra-Scribe is a centralized recorder
designed for large courthouse environments, providing recording support for multiple
courtrooms. The ASI6416 and Ultra-Scribe has been successfully installed in a pilot project for a Florida Judicial Circuit.
Lisa Dees, a Veri-Core product specialist who worked extensively with the courts to solve their
challenge, states "The AudioScience technology fits neatly with the Veri-Core DRS audio architecture.
We worked together to quickly provide the required customer specifications. It has been a pleasure
to work with AudioScience, a company whose concern for customer-based solutions mirrors our own."
Each ASI6416 can support up to four courtrooms, each with four channels of record. With four ASI6416s,
the Ultra-Scribe server may support up to sixteen courtrooms.
Drivers are provided for Windows XP, Server 2003, and Vista, as well as for Linux. 64-bit
drivers are available for Windows Vista and Linux. AudioScience's application, ASIControl,
allows CobraNet routing connections to be made between the ASI5402 and any other CobraNet
compliant device on the network. SDKs are available for Windows and Linux using either
standard APIs such as DirectSound or ALSA, or the proprietary AudioScience HPI and ASX interfaces.
