For Immediate Release
AUDIOSCIENCE'S ASI2202 - LITTLE BIT OF COBRANET® NEWCASTLE, DE (February 16, 2010) – AudioScience, Inc., a leader of professional audio peripherals for the broadcast and installed sound and entertainment industries, expands their popular CobraNet line of products with the addition of the ASI2202; a two channel in, two channel out, CobraNet device. Compact in size to be used anywhere, the ASI2202 can take two channels of line in or mic in audio, convert the streams to CobraNet networked audio, and send them to any CobraNet-compliant device. The ASI2202 also is equipped with 2 channels of line level analog output.
Spurred on by requests from Brian Sherlin, the corporate audio manager for Six Flags,
AudioScience once again listened to its customers to create a product needed in the
marketplace. "We've seen an increased use of our CobraNet products in amusement parks
large and small," said Richard Gross, president of AudioScience. "Our ASI2202 wasn't
even released but when Brian heard about it he was anxious to try it in the park."
Talking to Richard Gross, Brian stated "I am excited to have a unit that is scaled
to do exactly what we need, at the right price point. It has the correct number of
inputs and outputs in locations where we don’t need a larger box that costs thousands
more. Even though I know you and your people did the hard work, I take personal pride
in this product since your company worked to produce it per my request. What a great
company to work with!"
The ASI2202 has phantom power available on the inputs and
user-selectable input levels. AudioScience's set-up and mixer
application, designated ASIControl, can be used to configure the
routing connections to/from the ASI2202 and any other
CobraNet-compliant device. SDKs are available for Windows and
Linux.
